When our founder started Momentum at the age of 17, we knew it was hard to get meaningful experience in the film/TV industry. So, we’re doing our bit to give back to the next generation of storytellers by offering a range of opportunities for young people to gain experience in the wide world of video content.
Here’s how we do it
Work Experience
Year 10 students looking to join our team for a week are treated to a front-row seat of all aspects of production, and can even get hands-on with various aspects of making videos during their 4-5 day experience with us. Positions are strictly limited and not guaranteed.
Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) program
40-80 hour Work Placements are offered to extraordinary students undertaking the VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate. This program is an unparalleled kickstart to your creative career path as you join our team in an intensive program.
Due to Momentum being one of the only production companies offering a SWL program, this program is incredibly competitive, so we offer it exclusively for those students who excel in Creative subjects and is subject to interviews with our team.

Educational Workshops
We don’t believe in keeping our tricks secrets to ourselves. We share our wisdom through various workshops, ranging from professional marketing, filmmaking and storytelling workshops for youth groups. Available in person and online.
