For the last 12 months, the Momentum team have been working closely with long-time collaborators and mates at Robot Army Productions, about what a potential merger between the 2 companies could look like, and what the future may hold. Today, We’re proud to announce that Momentum is now part of the Robot Army family.

Robot Army Productions are an award-winning production company from Geelong, that specializes in bringing unique and engaging concepts into reality. They have been in the business for over 15 years and their credits include producing original TV shows such as ‘Rostered On’ (Seven Network/Netflix) and documentaries such as ‘The Hunt’ (Discovery). Their content has reached over half a billion people across major networks, SVODS, and of course, online.

Robot Army also have a few exciting brands, including Milk Video – Focusing on creating corporate videos that aren’t boring, BikeBot, an action-sport content agency specializing in Mountain Bike video content (who regularly shoot with the word best mountain bike athletes and brands). Plus SLAP BANG, a comedy YouTube channel with over 100K subscribers. And now, Momentum will become of of the few names in their tight-knit portfolio of high-quality production brands.

Here’s what the acquisition means for our clients:

  • Our team has gone from 3 to over 10! With an expanded team, we have an increased capacity to deliver amazing results.

  • Corporate video projects that don’t align with Momentum’s mission, such as general video production needs, can now be accommodated via our corporate brand, Milk Video.

  • Bolstered animation capabilities with some of the best and brightest designers and animators in Melbourne.

  • Our Momentum original long-form slate now has stronger resources and capacity to get long-form content (such as TV show, documentaries, feature films etc) commissioned and produced, with a skilled and experienced team of in-house producers and directors.

What else is changing?

Not much! Our mission will still be to create powerful video content to create change, and our founder Michael Hardinge will still be Creative Director at Momentum. Now, we just have a larger (but still nimble) team of talented and passionate individuals.

Whether you’ve been a client from day 1, since yesterday, or have just worked with us as a collaborator over our 12-year journey, We’d like to personally thank each and every one of you for your support over our journey.

Thanks for your ongoing support as we take this leap forward. We look forward to introducing you to the new members of our team, along with our business partners and directors, Ryan Chamley and Stu Ross on your next project!

See you on-set.
